The Shu Daoji 舒道纪
Paul PengShare
Shu Daoji was a native of Wuzhou (present-day Jinhua County, Zhejiang Province) during the Tang Dynasty.
He held the courtesy name Huayinzi. He practiced asceticism in seclusion at Mount Chisong, focusing on nurturing his mind and cultivating his nature, while also practicing fuqi (inhaling vital energy) and daoyin (Taoist physical exercises for energy cultivation).

He was a "fangwai friend" (a spiritual friend outside the secular world) of the Chan Master Guanhui, also known as Chan Yue (Moon of Chan).
