Sima Jizhu was a native of the Chu state during the Han Dynasty.
As stated in Daoxue Zhuan (Biographies of Daoist Scholars) and Xianyuan Bianzhu (Compilation of Pearls from the Garden of Immortals): He practiced divination for a living in the markets of Chang'an.
Later, he entered the Dayou Palace on Mount Weiyu, where he studied under Xiling Duzi, who taught him the techniques of hiding his form and transforming his appearance. Eventually, he attained the Dao and ascended to immortality.

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
