The Sima Ningzheng 司马凝

Sima Ningzheng was a figure during the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties period.
As recorded in Luyi Ji (Records of Strange Phenomena): "Sima Ningzheng was skilled in calligraphy and proficient in Taoist arts. He traveled around rivers and lakes, and many extraordinary stories about him have been passed down."

During the Xiantong era of Emperor Yizong of the Tang Dynasty (860–874), he was ordered by the imperial court to copy and transcribe Taoist scriptures at Dongzhen Guan (Dongzhen Taoist Temple).
During the Tianfu era of Emperor Zhaozong of the Tang Dynasty (901–904), he traveled between Xishan Mountain in Hongzhou, Yusheng Mountain and other places, and his traces of practicing Taoism have been handed down to later generations.
