Song Wentong

Song Wentong was a native of Wujun Prefecture during the Southern Dynasties (now Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province), and his courtesy name was Wenming.
He compiled Lingbao Jing Yishu (also known as Tongmen Lun), in which he proposed a twelve-part classification system for Taoist scriptures.
Fragmentary volumes of this work are preserved among the Taoist scriptures unearthed from Dunhuang.
