Suishan School
A branch of the Quanzhen Daoism. It reveres Liu Chuxuan, one of the Seven Northern True Ones, as its founding patriarch. Liu Chuxuan, styled Tongmiao and known by the sobriquet "Master of Longevity", was a disciple of Wang Chongyang, the founder of Quanzhen Daoism. He passed away in the third year of Taihe reign of Emperor Zhangzong of the Jin Dynasty (1203). In the sixth year of Zhiyuan reign of Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty (1269), he was posthumously granted the title "True Person of Longevity, Assistance, Transformation, and Bright Virtue"; in the third year of Zhida reign of Emperor Wuzong of the Yuan Dynasty (1310), he was further granted the title "Perfect Lord of Longevity, Assistance, Transformation, Ancestral Mystery, and Bright Virtue".
The "General Register of Various True Sects" copied and preserved by the Beijing Baiyun Guan in 1926 records the generational characters used for the transmission of this school, but the details of its inheritance and activities remain unknown.
