Sun Yingyuan lived during the Huangqing reign period of the Yuan Dynasty (1312–1313).

He was bestowed the honorific title of "Chongjing Shouzheng Ninghe Dharma Master" and served as the Zhuchi Tidian (Abbot-Superintendent) of Jixian Palace in Jiading Prefecture.
