The Sun Yizhong 孙夷中
Paul PengShare
Sun Yizhong, also known by the literary name Baoguangzi, lived during the reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty.
He lived in seclusion in Jingnan and organized Taoist classics.

Liu Ruozhuo, a Taoist priest from Yangtai (Taoist Temple), was well-versed in Taoist doctrines and rituals. He instructed Sun Yizhong orally on Taoist initiation ceremonies, as well as the grades of Taoist headgear, robes, and ranks. Based on this oral instruction, Sun Yizhong compiled Sandong Xiudao Yi (Rituals for Cultivation in the Three Grottoes), a work in one volume.
