The Sun Zhijue 孙志觉

Sun Zhijue was a native of Taiyuan during the Jin and Yuan dynasties.

His Taoist title was "Master Wuzhen" (Master of Awakening to Truth). At the age of thirteen, he became a Taoist disciple under Mi Zhiyuan.

In the 4th year of the Xingding era (1220), the Taoist master Changchun Zhenren (Qiu Chuji) renamed him Sun Zhijue (his current name as recorded), and he served as the abbot of Qiaosong Taoist Temple in Dexing Prefecture.

After the 7th year of the Zhengda era (1230), he went on to build Chongyang Hermitage.

The Taoist Administrative Office in Zhending praised his competence in official duties and appointed him to supervise the affairs of Taoist temples in Luancheng and other places.
