The Supreme Invocative Longevity Sutra 太上神咒延寿妙经

It is included in theText Categoryof theDongxuan Sectionof theDaozang(Taoist Canon).

With a text of merely over 200 characters, it states that Yuanshi Tianzun (the Primeval Lord of Heaven) cherishes the aspiration to relieve the afflictions of all living beings, rescue them from sufferings and prolong their lifespans. If people in the mortal world are afflicted by illnesses and disasters, they only need to recite this scripture wholeheartedly. Tianzun will then hear their prayers and come to their rescue, eliminating all their afflictions, extending their longevity, and fulfilling all their heartfelt wishes.
