The Ritual of the Three Emperors of the Supreme Lord Cave Gods

The author is unknown. It was probably compiled during the Northern and Southern Dynasties.

It is a one-volume work included in the Rituals and Ceremonies Section of the Cave Divine Division of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

This text describes the ritual for Cave God masters to transmit The Scripture of the Cave Gods, along with talismans, diagrams, and deed scrolls to their disciples.

It lists The Catalog of the Great Treasure of Talismans and Diagrams, a bibliography of the Cave God Section scriptures compiled during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. This catalog includes The Scripture of the Three Emperors, The Scripture of the Eight Emperors, and related ritual texts, totaling fourteen volumes.

The content of this text is related to The Transmission Ritual of the Three Emperors of the Supreme Lord Cave Gods recorded in the Zhengyi Section of the Daozang, and it is suspected that they are the same work.
