The Cave Truth Scripture of the Supreme Venerable for Pacifying the Kitchen Stove
The author is unknown, and it is believed to have originated during the Tang or Song dynasties.
It consists of one scroll and is included in the Taoist Canon, under the category of "Original Texts" in the Cave Truth Division.

The scripture purports that the Divine Mother of Cooking (Chui Mu Shen Mu) consulted the Supreme Primordial Venerable on the method of pacifying the kitchen stove.
The Venerable declared: The Kitchen God presides over the central hall and cherishes purity above all else. If taboos are violated, it will bring unrest to the household and sudden illnesses to family members. On auspicious days and nights of each month dedicated to sacrificing to the Kitchen God, one should place a pot of pure water on the stove, set up an altar to burn incense, offer wine and fruits, invoke the Lords of the Five Emperors (in charge of mortal destinies) and the spirits of the Six Gui Goddesses, recite the incantations, and chant this scripture. By doing so, it will bless the family with paternal kindness and filial piety, harmonious marital relations, fraternal respect and obedience, proper hierarchy between superiors and inferiors, and thriving family fortune.
A five-character verse is attached at the end of the text.
