The Taishang Feibu Nandou Taiwei Yujing 太上飞步南斗太微玉经

The Supreme Jade Scripture on Flying Steps to the Southern Dipper and Supreme Subtlety (Taishang Feibu Nandou Taiwei Yu Jing), author unknown. It seems to have been compiled during the Tang and Song dynasties.

It consists of one scroll and is included in the Benwen Lei (Original Text Category) of the Dongshen Bu (Divine Grotto Section) of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

This scripture falsely claims to be a transmission from the Shangqing Crimson Blossom Purple Spirit True Maiden (Shangqing Danhua Ziling Zhennü) to the Crimson Lord (Chijun), and mainly elaborates on the method of treading steps to the Six Stars of the Southern Dipper.

The scripture contains talismans for the Six Stars of the Southern Dipper, instructing practitioners to swallow the talismans according to specific days, write [incantations] in cinnabar on a green silk pouch, and wear it on the chest. By doing so, when ascending (in practice) and conducting rituals, all inauspicious matters will be resolved. It also lists the soul names of the Five Planets and the ethereal soul names of the Seven Stars, teaching practitioners to recite the names, contemplate the deities, and tread the steps corresponding to the stars.

At the end of the text, there are the true names of the Six Stars of the Southern Dipper, as well as the ritual procedures and prayers for treading the steps to the Six Stars.
