Tao Susi was a native of Kuaiji (now part of Zhejiang Province) during the Qing Dynasty.

His original name was Shi Yu, and he styled himself Cuncunzi, Daoist Tongwei, and Dweller of the Pure and Quiet Heart.

In his youth, he traveled around the country, visiting and seeking guidance from Taoist masters and fellow practitioners. Once, he encountered a Daoist who imparted to him esoteric cultivation methods. From then on, he wholeheartedly devoted himself to Taoism and delved into the essential principles of alchemical practices (Neidan methods). Later, he compiled Dao Yan Wu Zhong (Five Types of Taoist Discourses), which was circulated among the people.

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
