The Tao Yuanjing 陶源静
Paul PengShare
Tao Yuanjing was a native of Caozhou (now Heze, Shandong Province) during the early Southern Song Dynasty.
He resided at the southern foot of Maoshan Mountain. Together with Liu Daohuai, he was summoned to the imperial capital. In the 18th year of the Shaoxing era (1148), he submitted a memorial to the emperor, earnestly requesting to decline the summons—and was finally allowed to return to Maoshan Mountain. At that time, he and Liu Daohuai were collectively known as "the Two Lords Tao and Liu".
