Taoist Canon Catalog

Also known as Daming Taoist Canon Catalog.

It consists of four volumes and is included in the Zhengyi Section of the Taoist Canon (Daozang).

This book serves as the catalog of the Zhengtong Taoist Canon and the Wanli Supplementary Taoist Canon of the Ming Dynasty. Compiled and edited by Zhang Guoxiang, the 50th Heavenly Master, under imperial order, it was printed in the 35th year of the Wanli reign period.

Following the "Three Grottoes and Four Assistants" classification system, the book records 1,467 types of Taoist scriptures, totaling 4,697 volumes, all numbered in the sequence of the Thousand-Character Classic.

At the beginning of the book, there is an article titled Origin of the Taoist School, which outlines the origin of Taoist scriptures and the classification principles of the "Three Grottoes and Four Assistants" system.
