Zhengyi Rites of Consecrating the Altar

It was likely compiled during the Southern and Northern Dynasties or the Sui-Tang period.

Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the category of Ritual Texts in the Dongshen Section (the Section of Cave Spirits) of the Daoist Canon.

This text is one of the altar sacrifice rituals of early Celestial Master Taoism, describing the procedures for purifying the altar when Zhengyi Taoist priests establish a ritual venue.

The ritual sequence includes presenting memorials to deities, practicing visualization meditation, invoking divine beings, and reciting incantations.
