Since it mentions Emperor Huizong of Song conferring an honorific title on Zhenwu the True Lord, it should have been compiled during the Southern Song Dynasty.
Consisting of one scroll, it is included in The Daozang (Taoist Canon), under the Dongshen Section, Ritual Category.
This work describes a vegetarian ritual for praying for blessings and repenting for sins by honoring and praising Zhenwu, the True Lord of the Northern Pole Who Protects the Sage. The rituals include memorial presentations, sincere devotion and praise to deities such as the Three Pure Ones and Zhenwu of the Northern Pole, repentance, making vows, and reciting scriptures.
