Paul PengShare
True Person Miaoming was a female Daoist priest from Jurong (now part of Jiangsu Province) during the Song Dynasty. Her original surname was Wu.

According to Luofu Mountain Gazetteer (Luofu Shan Zhi), she encountered an extraordinary person in her childhood, who taught her the esoteric techniques of "shiqi" (absorbing cosmic vital energy) and "bigu" (abstaining from grains). She dedicated herself to Daoist cultivation with utmost devotion and integrity; her skin was as fair and smooth as ice and snow, and her reputation as a Daoist master was prominent.
During the Xuanhe era of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty (1119-1125), she was summoned to the imperial capital by imperial edict. Later, she retreated to Luofu Mountain for seclusion. After successfully refining the Daoist golden elixir, she attained immortality and ascended.
