The Wan You 万祐

Wan You was a person who lived during the Five Dynasties period.
He practiced Taoism in the mountains of Qiannan (now part of Guizhou Province). From time to time, he would go down the mountain to sell medicinal herbs.

Wang Jian, the ruler of the Former Shu, welcomed him into the imperial palace and asked him about the techniques of nurturing life and taking elixirs (for longevity). Wan You replied, "It is nothing more than keeping an open and modest mind to nurture one's vital energy, conducting oneself with benevolence, and minimizing one's mistakes."
Later, he retreated from public life and returned to the mountains.

He left behind a poem, in which he predicted future events, and these predictions proved quite accurate.
