The Wang Leqiu 王乐丘

Wang Leqiu (1315-1389) was a native of Changle County during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, and his courtesy name was Yixian.

At the age of nineteen, he became a Taoist priest by studying under Li Jianshan of Chongxi Courtyard.

In the 14th year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty (1381), he served as the abbot of Shangqing Palace at Longhu Mountain. Later, he requested to return to his former hermitage. In the 20th year of the Hongwu era (1389), he was again summoned by imperial edict to take up the position of "Tidian" (administrator) of Taishang Qinggong (Supreme Pure Palace) at Longhu Mountain.

He passed away due to illness in September of the same year at the age of seventy-five.
