Wang Lingyu (?–512)
Wang Lingyu was a figure who lived during the Southern Qi and Liang dynasties of the Southern Dynasties period. He was a Taoist priest from Jiujiang.

According to records in Biographies of Taoist Scholars and Classified Matters of the Shangqing Dao, he initially resided at Wanglao Peak on Mount Lushan. After dreaming of a divine being giving him guidance, he moved to Nanyue (the Southern Mountain, one of China’s Five Great Mountains) and devoted himself diligently to the practice of the Dao (Tao). He passed away in the 11th year of the Tianjian era of the Liang Dynasty (512).
In the 1st year of the Chonghe era of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty (1118), he was posthumously awarded the title "Great Master of Penetrating Subtlety and Gathering Emptiness."
