The Wang Min 王旻
Paul PengShare
Wang Min was a figure of the Tang Dynasty, also known by the Taoist title "Mr. Taihe".
He resided on Qingluo Mountain in Luoyang. As recorded in Volume 15 of Records of Maoshan Mountain: "In the Kaiyuan era (713-741), he was summoned to the imperial capital. When Emperor Xuanzong saw that he had the youthful complexion and white crane-like hair (a sign of longevity in Taoist culture), he showed Wang Min considerable favor and courtesy."

At that time, Emperor Xuanzong had obtained the authentic handwritten copies of various Shangqing scriptures by Yang Xi, Xu Mi (collectively referred to as "Yang Xu and other immortals") and Tao Hongjing from Maoshan Mountain. Among these scriptures, 13 pages of text were missing. The emperor specially ordered Wang Min to carry the imperial seal, letters, and gifts to Ziyang Temple on Maoshan Mountain, requesting Mr. Xuanjing to supplement and transcribe the missing parts.
Wang Min authored Miscellaneous Records of Mountain Dwelling in three parts.
Details of his story can be found in Records of Hengyue Mountain.
