The Wang Qiao 王乔

Wang Qiao (571–545 BCE) was a figure of the Spring and Autumn Period.
Also known as Wang Jin, he had the courtesy names Zijing and Ziqiao.
He was the crown prince of King Ling of Zhou.

From a young age, he was fond of Daoist arts and enjoyed playing the sheng (a traditional Chinese wind instrument) with tones resembling the singing of phoenixes, which would gather in the courtyard.
According to records in Lishi Zhenxian Tidao Tongjian (Comprehensive Mirror of True Immortals Through the Ages Who Embodied the Dao), Volume 3, and Yunji Qiqian (Seven Slips of a Cloudy Satchel), he once traveled to the Yi and Luo Rivers, where he encountered the Daoist Master Fuqiu, who guided him to Mount Song. There, he practiced the method of "Storing the Essence of Stone, Golden Light, Concealing the Visage, and Nourishing the Spirit". Legend has it that more than thirty years later, his family members saw Prince Qiao ascending to heaven on a white crane at Mount Gou'shi. In Taoism, he was enfeoffed as the "True Person of Right Assistance" and was in charge of Mount Tongbai.
During the Five Dynasties period, he was granted the title of "True Lord of Primordial Assistance". In the third year of the Zhenghe era of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty (1113), he was conferred the title of "True Person of Primordial Response".

During the Shaoxing era of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty (1131–1162), he was further granted the title of "True Person of Beneficence, Advantage, and Broad Relief".
