Wang Weixuan, was a native of the state of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. According to Zhengao (Declarations of the Perfected) and Volume 4 of Lishi Zhenxian Tidao Tongjian (Comprehensive Mirror of True Immortals Through the Ages Who Embodied the Dao), he attained the Dao and resided in a stone chamber of the Linwu Cave.

At that time, Han Chong was fond of Daoism and sought to receive the methods of transcending the mortal world. Weixuan first taught him the Great Flowing Pearl Elixir, and later imparted to him the techniques of concealment, escape, and body division. Eventually, he attained immortality through the Dao and ascended.
