The Wang Ximing 王袭明

The Wang Ximing 王袭明

Paul Peng
Wang Ximing was a native of Guixi, Jiangxi Province, who lived during the late Northern Song Dynasty and early Southern Song Dynasty.

A Taoist priest of the Ziwei Yuan (Purple Weft Institute), he was proficient in Taoist cultivation and mastered the inner alchemy doctrines (Neidan Daofa) of Taoism.
During the Zhenghe era of the Song Dynasty (1111–1118), he was repeatedly summoned to the imperial court, but he declined to take office every time.

Subsequently, he was appointed as Daozheng (Chief Taoist Administrator) of Longhu Mountain and concurrently held the post of Zhigong (Administrator of Taoist Palaces), overseeing Taoist affairs and temple management there.

Later, he retreated into seclusion and never emerged again.

He was still alive during the Qiandao era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1165–1173).
