Paul PengShare
Wang Zhishan was a native of Chuzhou Prefecture (now Lishui County, Zhejiang Province) during the early Ming Dynasty.
According to Gazetteer of Chuzhou Prefecture, in the Yongle reign (1403-1424), he became a Taoist priest at Sanguan Pavilion. He met an extraordinary person who taught him the art of talismans and incantations, and he had Taoist miracles—such as summoning wind and rain—which were quite effective.
