Wang Ziyao
A native of Huayin (now part of Shaanxi Province) during the Jin Dynasty, he styled himself Dagao.
As recorded in the Gazetteer of Ji’an Prefecture: During the Yongjia era (307–313), he moved from Yusi Mountain to Huangmao Mound in Taihe County. There, he built an altar to hold Taoist ritual ceremonies (lijiao), and white cranes appeared and danced (as an auspicious sign).

When the imperial court learned of this, it bestowed the name "Baihe Guan" (White Crane Taoist Temple) upon the site and also granted him money and silk fabrics. From then on, incense offerings at the temple continued unceasingly, with worshippers coming from near and far.
