The Wanyan Deming 完颜德明
Paul PengWanyan Deming was a Jurchen person of the Yuan Dynasty and held the Taoist title "Chongxuanzi" (Master of Profound Mystery).
He succeeded Miao Daoyi as the Patriarch and Leader of the Quanzhen Sect.
In the third year of Yuantong (1335), he was officially appointed as "Tejin Shenxian Xuanmen Yandao Dazongshi" (Grand Patriarch of Spreading the Dao in the Mysterious Gate, a Celestial Immortal with the rank of Tejin) by imperial decree. He was also put in charge of Taoist administrative offices across all circuits, took charge of Taoist affairs in the Jixian Academy, and bestowed the title "Chongxuan Yun'ao Hongren Guangyi Dazhenren" (Great True Person of Profound Mystery, Profound Secrets, Great Benevolence, and Broad Righteousness).
