The Wen Decheng 温德成

Wen Decheng (1145-1216) was a native of Changle, Sanshan (now part of Fujian Province) during the Southern Song Dynasty.

His courtesy name was Shaosou, and he styled himself Dongmeng.

According to Volume 16 of Mao Shan Zhi (Records of Mao Mountain): In his early years, he embraced Taoism and received the Taoist ordination at Shengyuan Guan (Shengyuan Temple) on Jichou Mountain in Wuxing.

He had a close association with renowned scholars of his time, such as Mr. Hui'an (Zhu Xi) and Mr. Xiangshan (Lu Jiuyuan).

He served as the abbot of Yuchen Guan (Yuchen Temple) for as long as thirty years. During the Jiatai era (1201-1204), he returned to take charge of Shengyuan Guan. He passed away in April of the 9th year of the Jiading era (1216) at the age of seventy-two.
