Wu Sheng, a figure of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, styled himself "True Person Baoguang" (True Person of Preserving Radiance).
From a young age, he admired the mysterious teachings of Taoism, so he entered Xishan in Nanchang and studied under True Person Huang Guyang, from whom he received the esoteric method of the Five Thunders.
His work Guandou Zhongxiao Wulei Wuhou Mifa (Esoteric Method of the Dipper-Penetrating Loyalty-Filial Piety Five Thunders and Martial Marquis) was published in scrolls and circulated in the world.
