The Wu Yuanchu 吴元初

Paul Peng
Wu Yuanchu was a prominent Taoist master of Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province during the early Yuan Dynasty.

He studied at Leikong Mountain in Linzhou. He was skilled in writing poetry and prose, and authored Xuanyuan Zhuogao (literally "Supplementary Manuscripts of Xuanyuan," a collection of his literary works).

Yu Ji, a renowned literati of the Yuan Dynasty, commented on Wu Yuanchu’s poetry and prose: "They are gentle yet unrestrained, clear yet inclusive, diverse yet not tedious—approaching the essence of the Dao."
