The Xia Fu 夏馥
Paul PengShare
Xia Fu, styled Zizhi, was a native of Chenliu (present-day Kaifeng City, Henan Province) during the Han Dynasty.

As stated in Mao Shan Zhi (Records of Mao Mountain): He was fond of Taoist arts from a young age, practicing techniques of taking herbal medicines and mica to achieve fasting (abstention from grains). Later, he entered Wu Mountain, where he received the method of refining the soul from Mr. Chixu. He also encountered the True Person of Tongbai, who taught him the method of yellow water and cloud pulp.
Subsequently, he lived in seclusion in Mao Mountain, practiced Taoism, and attained enlightenment.
