The Xiang Daoyuan 项道远

Xiang Daoyuan lived during the Zhizhi period of the Yuan Dynasty (1321-1323).
He was bestowed the honorific title "Dharma Master of Wonderful Response, Condensed Harmony, and Promoting the Dao" (Miaoying Ninghe Hongdao Fashi) and was regarded as an "Exalted Scholar of the Religious Sect" (Jiaomen Gaoshi), a title honoring his profound knowledge and virtue in Taoist circles.

He served as the "Kaishan Jia-Yi Zhuchi Tidian"—the founding abbot and administrative supervisor—of Chengtian Guan (Chengtian Temple), which was located at the Zhongyuan Shuifu (Zhongyuan Water Palace) on Caishi Mountain in Taiping Lu (Taiping Circuit, an administrative division in the Yuan Dynasty).
