Xiao Ziyi
Xiao Ziyi was a native of Lanling during the Southern Dynasties, with the courtesy name Qianhua.
As recorded in Daoxue Zhuan (Biographies of Daoist Scholars): Emperor Shizu of the Liang Dynasty built Taiqing Abbey on Tianmu Mountain, inviting Daoist practitioners from various places to gather there for rest and the study and discussion of Daoist teachings.

When Emperor Gaozu of the Chen Dynasty held a lecture session at Yixian Abbey, Xiao Ziyi—wearing a simple linen robe—rose from his seat and donated a woven scripture cloth he had made to serve as an offering (for the Daoist community or ritual purposes).
After Xiao Ziyi passed away, all his Daoist ritual texts and scriptures were taken into the possession of Anguo Abbey, an official institution.
