The Xu Lie 盱烈
Paul PengShare
Xu Lie (? - 421), styled Daowei, was a native of Yuzhang (present-day Nanchang) during the Jin Dynasty.
He lost his father at a young age and was known for his filial piety in serving his mother. His mother was the elder sister of True Lord Xu (Xu Xun).

Every time True Lord Xu went on a journey, Xu Lie's mother would take charge of household affairs on his behalf. Xu Lie studied Taoism under True Lord Xu and deeply grasped the essential principles.
In the second year of the Yongchu era of Emperor Wu of the Southern Song Dynasty (421), he ascended to immortality on the same day as True Lord Xu. During the Zhenghe period of Emperor Huizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, he was conferred the title of "Hejing Zhenren (True Man of Harmony and Tranquility)".
