Yan Yujing was a figure of the early Ming Dynasty.

He became a Taoist monk in his youth and studied under Luo Zeming of Yanxi Temple. In the 6th year of the Hongwu reign (1373), he applied for and obtained an official certificate to become a formal Taoist priest. In the 7th year (1374), he served as a Yuewu Sheng (music and dance performer) in the Taichang Temple under the Ministry of Rites. In the 12th year (1379), he was granted permission to return to Yanxi Temple.

As recorded in Account of Cuiwei Temple (Volume Three of Xianquan Collection): Yan Yujing was intelligent and agile, and skilled in playing the guqin (a traditional Chinese zither) and painting.

After Luo Zeming's death in the 22nd year of the Hongwu reign (1389), Yan Yujing succeeded him as the head of the Taoist Association in Jinxi County, Jiangxi. He took charge of all affairs of Yanshou Temple and Cuiwei Temple. In the 30th year (1397), he built another Cuitao Temple on the top of Ting Mountain. With lush pines and bamboos surrounding it, the temple thrived for a time.
