Yang Ne was a Taoist priest of Mount Song during the Later Han Dynasty of the Five Dynasties period.
As recorded in Zizhi Tongjian (Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government), Volume of the Later Han Dynasty: In the first year of the Qianyou era (948 CE), when Li Shouzhen was attacked by the Later Han forces, Yang Ne changed his name to Li Ping, took a secret route to submit a memorial to the Southern Tang Dynasty requesting military aid, and finally helped lift the siege (on Li Shouzhen’s forces).
