The Yang Ruzhen 杨汝真
Paul PengShare
Yang Ruzhen was a native of Yangzhou during the Ming Dynasty. He became a Daoist monk at an early age and practiced the teachings of the Quanzhen School (Complete Perfection School) of Daoism.
Later, he encountered an extraordinary person who imparted profound esoteric principles to him. Following this, he traveled to Peng County in Sichuan (present-day Sichuan Province) and frequented the two Daoist temples of Gouxian Guan and Xiangping Guan.

When the Prince of Shu learned of his spiritual attainments, he showed Yang Ruzhen great respect and treated him with exceptional courtesy. Yang lived to be over a hundred years old and passed away at Danjing Mountain.
Accounts of his life can be found in Sichuan Zongzhi (Comprehensive Gazetteer of Sichuan).
