The Ye Sen 叶森
Paul PengShare
Ye Sen (1189-1209) was a native of Nan'an (now Jinjiang City, Fujian Province) during the Southern Song Dynasty.
He was intelligent and perceptive from an early age, and had a keen interest in the esoteric methods of Taoism. He lived in seclusion at Lingyun Hall, possessed the ability to foresee current events, and was quite an extraordinary person. Regrettably, he passed away at a young age. Emperor Ningzong of the Song Dynasty bestowed upon him the posthumous title "Respectful King of Valor, Might and Beneficence", and the local people built a temple to worship him.
