The compiler remains anonymous.

Judging from its content and literary style, it was also composed in the Song Dynasty, and is included in the Ritual Norms Section of the Cavern Mystery Division of The Daozang. This text records the ritual of paying homage and offering praise to the Heavenly Worthies of the Ten Directions in sequence to deliver deceased spirits from suffering and offer salvation for them.
For each homage and praise ceremony, practitioners first recite the title of the Heavenly Worthy of the corresponding direction and the magnificent scenes of the pure celestial realm where the Worthy abides, then chant seven-character eulogies, entreating the Heavenly Worthies to transcend the deceased spirits and guide their souls to be reborn in the immortal realm in accordance with The Dao.
