The Yi Dalu 伊大麓

Yi Dalu was a native of Suzhou during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. His courtesy name was Shouxian, and his literary name was Yunfeng.

He became a Taoist Priest at Yuanmiao Taoist Temple and served as the abbot of Shenzhou Hall. Yi Dalu was skilled in painting landscapes; he studied under Teng Gupeng and Wang Cifeng, and mastered the painting techniques of both masters. Feng Guangwen included Yi’s paintings in Moxiang Ju Huashi (Records of Paintings in the Ink Fragrance Studio).

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
