The Yi Dalu 伊大麓

Yi Dalu was a native of Suzhou during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. His courtesy name was Shouxian, and his literary name was Yunfeng.
He became a Taoist Priest at Yuanmiao Taoist Temple and served as the abbot of Shenzhou Hall. Yi Dalu was skilled in painting landscapes; he studied under Teng Gupeng and Wang Cifeng, and mastered the painting techniques of both masters. Feng Guangwen included Yi’s paintings in Moxiang Ju Huashi (Records of Paintings in the Ink Fragrance Studio).
