The Yin Cheng 尹澄
Paul PengShare
Yin Cheng, styled Chumo and also known as Yin Linzi, was a native of Fenyang (present-day Yangqu in Shanxi Province) during the Qin and Han dynasties.
He practiced Taoism at Louguan, maintaining a pure vegetarian diet and reciting scriptures, without getting involved in worldly affairs. Emperor Qin Shi Huang heard of his miraculous and extraordinary deeds and issued repeated imperial edicts to summon him, but he declined to go. According to records in The Stele of the Biographies of Louguan's Ancestor Masters and Volume Nine of The Comprehensive Mirror of True Immortals Through the Ages Who Embodied Taoism, he encountered Immortal Song in Mount Emei, who taught him the Inner Texts of the Three Sovereigns and the secret formulas for the Nine Elixirs. Through practicing these, he attained Taoism and became an immortal.

The Supreme Venerable Sovereign of Taiwei sent immortal officials to descend and welcome him, appointing him as the True Person of Taiwei.
