The Yin Conglong 尹从龙

The Yin Conglong 尹从龙

Paul Peng
Yin Conglong was a native of Huazhou during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Since he never combed his hair for years, people of his time called him "Yin Pengtou" (Yin the Unkempt-Haired). He had mastered the skill of cultivating internal qi (vital energy) – he could stand under the scorching sun for hours, or lie down in the snow during severe winters, showing no sign of fear at all.

He traveled to regions south of the Yangtze River and beyond, and often treated people's illnesses using his internal qi cultivation techniques, which proved quite effective. Details of his life story can be found in many local gazetteers, such as Gazetteer of Jiangning Prefecture, Gazetteer of Suzhou Prefecture, and Gazetteer of Jiangxi Province.
