The Youlong School 犹龙派

The Youlong School, also known as the Hidden School or the Hidden Immortal School, was founded by the True Person Zhang Sanfeng during the Yuan and Ming dynasties.

It is said that Zhang Sanfeng's alchemy method originated from Chen Tuan. Chen Tuan passed it on to the Mayi Daoist Li He, who then passed it on to the Fire Dragon True Person, and the Fire Dragon True Person finally passed it on to Zhang Sanfeng. Zhang Sanfeng, also named Quanyi or Junbao, with the sobriquet "Zhang the Unkempt", possessed extraordinary human potential and had a free and unrestrained personality. This school takes seclusion and detachment as its main tradition, hence the name "Hidden Immortal School". Moreover, since the school claims to have inherited the alchemy methods of both the Wenshi and Shaoyang branches from Laozi's school, it is also called the "Youlong School". For further reference, see the entry "Hidden Immortal School".
