The Yu Tong 俞桐
Paul PengShare
Yu Tong was a native of Changzhou (now part of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province) during the Qing Dynasty. His courtesy name was Qiuting.
Having been frail and sickly since childhood, he lived in a Taoist temple. In his youth, he became a Taoist Priest at Yuanmiao Temple.

He was skilled in painting, poetry, and ci poetry, with works characterized by a natural and fresh style, never deliberately pursuing profundity. His works were widely praised and circulated by people of his time.
