The Yuan Danqiu 元丹丘

Yuan Danqiu was a figure of the Tang Dynasty.
During the Tianbao era, he became a Taoist monk by studying under Hu Ziyang, a prominent Taoist master of the Shangqing School. He lived in seclusion and practiced Taoism on Mount Song. After attaining proficiency in Taoist arts, he traveled around the country. Yuan Danqiu was skilled in writing poetry and prose, and had a close friendship with Li Bai—they exchanged numerous poems with each other.
