The Yuan Weizheng 袁惟正
Paul PengShare
Yuan Weizheng, styled Xingzhi, was a native of Langzhong (present-day Langzhong County, Sichuan Province) during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty.
He excelled at interpreting the waxing and waning of Yao Xiang (trigrams and images in the I Ching) to determine good or ill fortune. When divining matters for people, he preferred to use the "Sixty Yin Gua" (Sixty Hidden Trigrams) to deduce the Five Elements, align with the Six Gods, and deploy the Seventy-Two Evil Influences. Whether fortunes or misfortunes had already occurred or were yet to show signs, he could pinpoint each detail as if seeing them with his own eyes.

People of his time praised him as being in the same league as Guo Jingchun (Guo Pu) and Guan Gongming (Guan Lu)—renowned diviners of ancient China.
