The Yuan Zhi'an 袁志安
Paul PengShare
Yuan Zhi'an was a native of Tongchuan during the Yuan Dynasty. He had a gentle and calm temperament, and was always warm, sincere and modest in his interactions with others.
He studied under Master Zhang Shouchong, who was known as "Chongxuan Wuyu" (literally meaning "Revering Mystery and Being Desireless"). He fully inherited Master Zhang's Taoist doctrines and practices.

Following his master's order, he served as the abbot of Youde Taoist Temple in Baoji. After years of renovation and restoration, the temple became a famous Taoist site in the Qinlong region (a historical area covering parts of present-day Shaanxi and Gansu provinces).
