The Zhang Chongyi 张崇一
Paul PengShare
Zhang Chongyi was a figure of the Southern Song Dynasty.
He had a keen interest in Daoist studies and left secular life to become a Taoist priest.
Later, he learned the "Lingbao Flying Step Method" from Yi Rugang, and studied the "Secret Five-Thunder Method of Imperial Attendant Chen" from Mo Qiyan.

After practicing these methods for many years, he became particularly proficient in various Taoist rituals and techniques, and was known among people as "Master Zhang of Thunder" (a title honoring his expertise in thunder-related Taoist arts).
The scholar Bao Hui recommended him to the imperial court, and he was appointed to oversee Tianqing Taoist Temple in Suzhou. His nephew Zhang Shanyuan later inherited his Taoist teachings and lineage.
