The Zhang Dizhe 张迪哲

Zhang Dizhe (1314-1389) was a native of Changle County during the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. His courtesy name was Ruyu, and his literary name was Mingshan.

At the age of sixteen, he became a Taoist priest at Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi and studied under Sun Shanxing of Chongxi Courtyard.

He was skilled in calligraphy and proficient in all styles such as seal script and official script.

In the 17th year of the Hongwu era (1381) of the Ming Dynasty, he served as the "Tidian" (administrator) of Taishang Qinggong (Supreme Pure Palace) at Longhu Mountain.

He passed away in the 22nd year of the Hongwu era (1389) at the age of seventy-six.
